| Globe Swimming Pool |
The City of Globe Community Center Swimming Pool will open on Tuesday, May 26, 2009, at noon. The hours will be 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., seven days a week. There will be adult (18 years and over) lap swimming from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Daily rates are $1.00 for ages 12 and under; $2.00 for ages 13 to adult. Swim passes are also available at $230.00 for a family and $80.00 for singles.Due to structural problems, we are unable to open the baby pool. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. If you have any questions, please call City Hall at 425-7146 or you can call the pool directly on Sunday at noon at 425-8446

Regular Swimming Hours: M-Thur noon-5 pm, Friday noon-4 pm, Sat 11 am-4 pm, closed Sunday. Entire family just $5 on Family Swim night every Thursday 5:30-7:00 pm starting May 28th.
Free Swim Days: 5/29, 6/12 (with 2 cans of food), 7/4, and 8/3
Water Aerobics: Mon, Wed, Fri 5:30-6:30 pm, and Sat 10-11 am.
Splash Bash's Every Friday with DJ music on deck
Daily admission: 17 & under $1; 18 & over $2
Seasonal Pass: before May 31st 17 & under $40 and 18 & over $70 and $100 for families; after May 31st 17 & under $80 and 18 & over $140 and $200 for families. Families and groups are up to 5 people.

Life Guard Training: May 15-18th and May 19-23. Cost is $250 for Red Cross program, Call 473-8178.
Swimming Lessons: Not Red Cross certified, but basic swimming instruction. Class Days are Mon, Wed, and Thurs--Either 10-10:40 am or 10:50-11:30am, from June to July.
Volleyball Camp: For ages 8-18 at the MHS gym on June 15th-18th from 9 am-noon. Cost $50. Registration is June 15th from 8 am to 9 am at the gym.
Senior Center quilting Tues. 9 am-1pm and exercise Thurs. 9:30-10:30 am.

Open Gym Volleyball every wednesday from 6-9pm from May 27th-June 24th. $1 per person.
Co-ed Volleyball tournament: Games played every Wed, through July. Team maximum of 8 players. Cost is $100 per team. Registration rules and forms available June 10th.

Memorial Day Veterans Celebration: May 25th starting at 9 am. All vets are asked to sign up at the Town Hall. The entire community is invited.
Free lunch M-F at noon starting June 1st at the basketball courts (under 18)
Concert in the Park Series: June 5th Gone Country; June 26th Apache Spirit; July 17th TBA; July 31 Gone Country; Aug 14th Jaded. Ok to bring lawn chairs and coolers. All concerts from 6:30 to 9pm.
Karaoke in the Park Series: June 12th, July 24th, and August 7th. 6:30-9pm.
Summer reading program at the library Tues, Wed, Thur 11 am 1 pm from June 10th-July 16th.
Fiesta Miami September 19th from 10 am to 9 pm at Bullion Plaza Park. A cultural event celebrating Mexican heritage and bringing the 11th Annual Chihuahua races. |
